I just made myself some roasted red pepper and tomato bisque with kidney beans. It makes my room smell so homely and adult.
Today, dear desert, is my lazy Sunday. I woke up late and happy with the little bit of sun that snuck through the still very-present clouds slipping in through the blinds and onto my pillow. It was a sweet thing to snuggle with; sunshine and my fuzzy, zebra blanket. Sydney ended up being the thing that successfully got me out of bed. (Although, let’s be honest, she usually is…)
Originally, the plan for this weekend was to go to Portland with the crew but I opted out for a few reasons that mostly included taking it a little bit easy this weekend. Sydney, however, did go so we spent some time exchanging tales of our weekends. I told her about going to a really good show on Friday that hosted some really great music. I danced and spent the night laughing. I also picked up many bottles and cans and took a long stroll to the bus stop. I also smiled warmly and tried out my telepathy. (It didn’t really work. Who woulda’ thought?) I also told her about last night and how it had a much different vibe, but it was still nice. I turned in early after hopping around downtown and getting a green tea, vegan cupcake. Yummy.
It was delightful talking with her and since then I’ve been cleaning my room a bit and- every-so often- busting out some impromptu dance moves as I swept or made my soup. Which was delicious but now I have to clean my bowl. So, just a quick little update, my dear desert.
I think I’ll spend some time today crafting and painting. I will check in again, soon.
Sending my love to the south,
xoxo e.

PPS: Dear Mom and Dad,
Remember Le Voyeur? If not, allow me to jog your memory:
I will never forget; those fries were good! No, actually it was who I was with, and the cool, funky little town, along with the neat dive, that I will always remember.
