Quick Quick Quick!

Dear Arizona,
I’m only updating because I’ve been at SZIZS all afternoon working (with a small amount of procrastination) and I just feel like it’s now become a tradition to update here.
120305-141048It’s also tradition to to post the sneaky, creepy pictures I take here…
My day has been productive and sweet. I woke up at 8:30 (holla!) this morning to rain on my window and the feeling of a cozy bed. I wasn’t too happy about getting out of bed but I did, anyway. I promised myself that my sleeping patterns would change, so I’m 120305-142341120305-142407doing everything I can to make sure that actually happens. (That’s why I have Sydney come into my room some mornings and make sure I get out of bed. She’s such a doll.) Anyway, I was successful all by myself this morning and despite my extreme sleepiness I got to business and went to the gym for an hour. Then I got ready and
met up with Cora so we could take a trip into town and have some lunch/ come here to drink coffee and work on our scholastic things. Currently, I’m taking a break and drinking a lavender soy latte. (Uh, yeah. Take a moment to imagine that gloriousness.)
Even though the morning started with rain it’s sunny out right now. In fact, when I first sat down in here the sun was shining so much through the window I was a little too warm. Funny how that happens, especially considering my desktop weather report says it’s only 38 out… hm. How funny is that?
Since I’m only taking a short break I have to keep this short and simple.
This weekend was strangely vibed (as in there were strange vibes, seeing as- apparently- vibed isn’t a word. Whatevs.), not in a bad way but merely a different kind of weekend. I saw two bands play, one of which I’ve mentioned before, and the other being a heavy metal band from Oly that had their cd release party at an art store I really like. I also went to a tattoo exhibition thing at the same store, Olyphant. It was the next night and it displayed the fine art of local Olympia tattoo artists. It was really inspiring and it makes me want to tattoo more, as well as sell more of my paintings. So, yeah, now that’s a goal for the soon future. I’m collecting a lot of those lately… I’m okay with that, though.
As for the rest of the weekend, it was chilled out and relaxing. There were some moments of epiphany and some moments of realization, as well as some utter confusion and a change of understanding that wasn’t necessarily positive, but still important. But, well, I’m only as (fill in the blank) as the moments I allow to effect me, and I think these are good ones.
Now, I must drink the rest of this latte, tie up some ideas for my project, and wait for Sydney to come pick Cora and me up.
Love forever,
Emily.

PS- tomorrow I am meeting with a tattoo artist to discuss my next tattoo! Yay!
