Dear Arizona,
It’s officially Spring Break! I guess my Spring Break has been happening since this last Monday because I finished everything I needed to last week, but… whatever! This next week is the official break week and I am so stoked! (I’m currently celebrating with my vegan Ginger-O cookies and soy milk. Yummo.)
Tonight I’m going to Portland, finally. And it’ll be my first time in Oregon, too, so all-around new experiences. Sydney, Cora, and I will be driving up in a few hours to meet up with Joe and Sean. We’re coming home tomorrow after a little exploring and I’m cool with that. Even though I’m staying in Olympia, the whole break will feel like a vacation. Sydney’s parents are letting us stay at her house so it’ll be like a get-away AND practice-living run with me, Syd, Cora, and Coco. Last night was the first little practice and I think it’s safe to say it went pretty purrrrfectly. (There was even some kitty cuddling so I’m allowed to make that “perfect” a “purrfect”.) Anyway, there’ll be pictures up of last night and this morning (such. good. food.) and then of the rest of the week’s adventures. Don’t you fret!
So, like I said, even though I had this whole last week as a break, the true break starts now! Why? Last week I spent all my days just sleeping a lot and getting better. I think I’m finally getting really over the pneumonia. Last Friday was terrible- definitely the worst of it, and on Saturday- in the middle of the show- I broke into a fever on stage. It was ironically comical but still a pain in the ass. So once the shows were over I stocked up on Gatorade and stuck to bed, mostly. At one point I got some soup in town with Cora and I also visited some friends two nights ago and had a little lady time with them! But, yeah, otherwise, last week was relax week and this week is crazytime week. (Moderately, because I want to get 100% better. Don’t you worry, parents. I’m responsible…) Sounds pretty good to me!
Now, I’m going to make a small bag to take to Portland and then make a bigger bag for when we get back and stay at Sydney’s. I will chat later, AZ. My love, sent from the forest and from the city!
xoxox e.
ps. Sydney’s house has an amazing bathtub. Uhhm, holla! Only showers at the dorms so it’s a real treat.
pps. The corner store closed on Wednesday so it was my last chance to buy food from there with my declining balance dollars. And I had a lot of “geo-bucks” so after I got the juice and blue Gatorade I would need, I got something I’ve wanted this whole semester but never got…
Cookie dough! I think this is one of the few things I could never do at home because my mom would yell at me! It could be worse; some parents find out about their child’s coke-party habits from Facebook and my mom finds out that I eat raw cookie dough after microwaving it for ten seconds at and watch Dirty Dancing on Netflix college… (I’m too good at covering up that cocaine party habit, obv. Just kidding. I’ve never done cocaine *disclaimer*)
